Tennis Gympie - Coaching

The Gympie & District Tennis Association Inc was established in the 1970's to encourage tennis players of all ages and standards to enjoy the game of tennis in a family orientated social environment.

Our club provides fixture's and coaching programs for all ages. From children through to adults. For all standards and abilities.

We provide all areas of junior development from the Tennis Australia "Hot Shots" program. From those starting out. To more advanced players competing at tournament level.

We are proud of our two long term coaches. Our coaches are involved in tennis programs in most schools in the Cooloola region. Please check you schools news letter

Out coaches also provide various competitions through the year for juniors of all standards including inter-school challenges and school holiday fun tournaments.

Tennis Gympie - Hot Shots Tennis Gympie has qualified coaches for Red, Orange, and Green Levels. Classes are run by Brett Cottrill and Matt Watkins. Who are both registered hot shot providers with Tennis Australia. Learn about the Hot Shots program by following this link. Classes are normally held on Saturdays 8:30am-10:00am. Check the event calendar for actual dates. Costs at time of creation of this page were $18 for Non-members, $12 for members. We have regular attendances of pupils for Red, Orange and Green ball levels. There are also weekly prizes at the end of each session. Parents you can stay and watch or go have a coffee and come back. There are canteen facilities onsite. The canteen offers a range of snacks and drinks. Don’t forget hats and Sun Screen. Tennis Gympie - Individual and Group Lessons Make tennis your game. Provide yourself or children with private coaching as a form of recreation or self development. Private coaching will make your tennis more exciting and enjoyable, as you and your family improve your skills. Private coaching will improve your tennis by concentrating on these areas Technique - increased power, spin and consistency through specialised techniques and advice Tactics - court positioning, shot selection, spatial awareness, maximising your strengths Fitness - just through the act of playing tennis you will get fitter. Tennis Gympie - Cardio Tennis
Tennis Gympie is a provider of the Tennis Australia endorsed Cardio Tennis program.

When it comes to calories, it’s simple: burn more calories than you consume and you will lose weight and feel great. In the modern time-poor world, it can be hard to keep fit, let alone find a program that is fun and energising.

You and up to 10 other people will experience a fun, high-energy workout focused on constant movement that includes:

• 10 to 15 minute warm-up
• 30 minute cardio segment
• 15 minute cool-down

There will be upbeat music to motivate you, heart-rate monitors to check your fitness levels and calorie burn, and low compression balls to make striking the ball that much easier.
